Meet the Miniaturist Nicholas Busch!

Our last live Meet the Miniaturist featured Nicholas Busch, from Nicholas Busch Photography on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Nicholas is a scale model builder from Davenport, Iowa with a background in portrait photography and the digital arts

Nicholas has been honing his skills making scratch built miniatures over the past several years, mainly focusing on the fantasy genre, creating sets and structures in very small scale (1:35). He uses his photography skills to bring his miniatures to life and then adds even more drama and mystique by adding digital elements to finalize his work to create stunning imagery.

We had a great chat with Nicholas, heard more about his work making miniatures and discussed some of the tricks, tools and techniques for using photography to bring his work to a whole other level of drama.
